Our proposal for the World Car Center incorporates the landscape with a double objective: on the one hand as a reflection of the experience of travelling by car and on the other hand as an environmental regulator. This ecosystem, which functions as a sensitive membrane between interior and exterior, is formed by a selection of the most representative landscapes of Galicia.
The Lagares River and its vegetation are reflected in the mirrors of the façade of the future WCC, merging with the interior landscapes veiled by the ETFE sheeting. From inside the building, the intermediate landscapes can be touched, smelled and enjoyed by users, encouraging creativity and research. Thus, the future WCC is designed as an environmental and phenomenological regulator, capable of optimizing both the energy exchange and the knowledge exchange.
